This course has been introduced in response to a breakthrough in the area of embedded systems as well as broad vistas in their adoption in industry. Embedded systems are involved in almost every facet of modern life. Applications of embedded processors are in many industries like consumer electronics, automobile, communications, aviation, space etc. Embedded software is getting more complex and versatile with the drive to create smaller devices supporting enhanced functionalities.
Embedded Systems have emerged as one of the most important areas of growth in the job market. The students are trained in theory along with sound practical equipping them well to face the industry requirements. A balance is maintained throughout the course in the treatment of both software and hardware topics.
In the first two semesters the students are extensively trained in the area of embedded systems basics and later on advance topics with DSP, RTOS, Device Drivers, designing with various popular microcontrollers and other important areas.
